Privacy policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Draft. Opsphie is in early access, and this page is subject to change before launch. We'll update the date above whenever it does.

Opsphie is incident management that runs in Slack. This policy explains what we collect when your team uses Opsphie, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

  • Your Slack workspace: its ID and name, and the bot token Slack gives Opsphie when you install it, stored encrypted. Uninstalling deletes the token.
  • People who use Opsphie: their Slack user ID and name, and their email address if they sign in to the web app with Slack. We only record people who use a command, take part in an incident or sign in, not your whole workspace.
  • Incidents: titles, severities, statuses, summaries, updates, customer impact, causes, resolutions, links, remediations and the timeline of changes, including any Slack messages someone adds to the timeline.
  • Jira, if you connect it: access tokens for your Jira site, stored encrypted, and the keys and links of the issues Opsphie creates.
  • Sign-in sessions: when you sign in, a session cookie. We store a hash of it, never the cookie itself.

We don't read channels or messages beyond what Opsphie needs to do what you ask.

How we use it

Only to run Opsphie: to create and update incident channels, keep timelines, post announcements, show your incidents in the web app and keep your account secure. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, short-lived ones while you sign in with Slack, install Opsphie or connect Jira, and two that remember your time zone and whether you see times in it or in UTC. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Where your data is kept

We use a few providers to run Opsphie:

  • DigitalOcean, which hosts our servers
  • Neon, which hosts our database
  • Cloudflare, for DNS and network security
  • Slack, where Opsphie runs
  • Atlassian, if you connect Jira: remediations become issues there, and the owner's email is used to find their Jira account

How long we keep it

We keep your workspace's data while Opsphie is installed, so incident history stays available. Expired sign-in sessions are deleted automatically. If you uninstall Opsphie and want your data deleted, ask us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you or your workspace. A workspace admin can uninstall Opsphie from Slack at any time.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. Contact details for privacy questions will be added here before launch.
